A Bedfordshire builder has been ordered to pay in excess of £200,000.00 following prosecution. 

Case summary: Suspicious materials were found when a fibrous piece of board from a partition broke off while being worked on by a contractor. The board was later confirmed to be asbestos insulating board (AIB) containing amosite, contraventions of health and safety law relating to the control of asbestos

Breaches: Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Regulations 5 and 15)
